Assistant Coaches

Jonathan Rhodes

Jonathan Rhodes returns for his third season as top assistant in the Griffin Women’s Soccer Program. Rhodes primary responsibilities will be team training and recruiting. 

A native of England, Rhodes captained his collegiate team at Harrogate College in Leeds, West Yorkshire. After college, he played semi-professionally with Guiseley AFC for three seasons.

After arriving in America, Rhodes then worked at the United Soccer Academy in Media, Pa, where he served in numerous capacities. Since 2006, he has coached a very successful girl’s team now called Penn Fusion U15s. Rhodes holds a NSCAA National Premier Diploma, is USSF licensed, and has an English F.A. Coaching Certificate.

Rachel Wilson

Rachel Wilson joins as assistant coach for her first season. A former Griffin player in 2001, she was a member of the team that won the PAC Championship in 2001.  Rachel transferred to Tampa University to study and continue playing soccer at the NCAA Division II level.  

Wilson’s primary role will be team training, goalkeeper player development and recruiting. 

She is currently studying at GMC and will graduate in Elementary and Special Education.

Stuart Johnson

Stuart Johnson joins as assistant coach for his first season in the Griffin Women’s Soccer Program. 

A standout soccer player from North Penn High School, Stuart also played Division III College soccer for both Stevens Institute of Technology (as a Freshman) and Widener University (as a Sophomore and Junior). Due to a reoccurring knee injury, Stuart was forced out of the game in his senior year. 

Johnson’s primary responsibilities will be team training, scouting opponents and recruiting.

Johnson is currently studying at Widener University and will graduate with a B.S. in Environmental Science.
