Assistant Coaches

Tom Cleighton
Going into his seventh season, Tom Cleighton has been involved with high school and youth league athletic programs for over 10 years. Cleighton is an official for the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) in field hockey and lacrosse for the Montgomery County CYO. He also has coached girl’s basketball at the AAU level and the high school level, most recently at Mt. St. Joseph Academy for three years from 2000 to 2003.

Steve Harrow

In his fifth year as an assistant coach, Harrow will be working primarily with the guards, as well as advance team scouting and recruiting. Prior to earning his bachelor’s degree from Cabrini, he spent three seasons as a player with the Cavs Men’s Team (96-99). Harrow returned to the Cabrini bench in 1999 as an assistant under John Dzik until 2002. As an assistant, the Cavaliers won the school’s eighth PAC Championship and advanced to the Sweet 16 in 2002. The following season he joined the women’s coaching staff for two seasons before moving on to join the Griffins’ staff.

Ashley Vandiver '07
Coach Ashley Vandiver, a former Griffin who helped lead the squad to back-to-back conference championships and two NCAA Tournament berths, joins coach Mondillo on the sidelines for the first time this season. After starting her playing career at Arcadia, Vandiver transferred to Gwynedd and made an immediate impact, averaging over 10 points and six rebounds a game in her first season. She was the 2006 PAC Tournament MVP after scoring a game-high 21 points and pulling down 11 rebounds and would finish her college career with over 1,000 points. She also spent time at her alma mater, Archbishop Ryan High School, where she helped guide the girl’s freshman team for one season.

Heather Weindorfer-Glemser
Coach Weindorfer-Glemser, who enters her first season as an assistant with a very successful coaching and playing resume, will work primarily with the post players. Prior to Gwynedd, coach Weindorfer-Glemser spent 12 years coaching high school basketball at Central Bucks West, Lower Moreland and Archbishop Wood. During her eight-year stint at Lower Moreland, she took a 2-20 program to an eventual district playoff contender her last four seasons. As a player, Weindorfer finished her career as the all-time leading scorer (1,780) and rebounder (855) at the University of Hartford and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2003. She still ranks in the state of Pennsylvania as one of the top 50 scorers, with over 2,300 points in her high school career.
