Pre-season volleyball poll announced
Griffins picked sixth

ASTON, PA - Eastern University's volleyball team has been selected as the pre-season favorite in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) coaches' poll. The eight-time defending champion Lady Eagles received 10 of the 11 first-place votes and a total of 120 points to finish well ahead of Alvernia College.

Alvernia, the 2004 Conference runner-up, earned 109 points to finish in second place in the poll. Marywood University finished third with 92 points and earned the other first-place vote.

Cabrini College (80), Cedar Crest College (76), Gwynedd-Mercy College (62), College Misericordia (54), Neumann College (45), Immaculata University (44), Arcadia University (33) and Rosemont College (11) rounded out the voting.
