Griffins score early, often in win over former PAC Member

GLENSIDE, PA -- Sophomore Amanda Reppert (Oley, Pa./Boyertown) scored a hat trick and junior Nicole Dowling (Jamison, Pa./C.B. East) added two goals as Gwynedd-Mercy took out Arcadia, 8-0, on Wednesday.

The Griffins (2-0) built a 5-0 halftime lead with scores from Reppert and two from Dowling, and seniors Mary Gerth (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn), and Ashley Blackwell (Mohrsville, Pa./Schuylkill Valley).

GM outshot Arcadia, 24-3 and had five penalty corners to the Knights’ two.

The win was special for head coach Laura Lane as she defeated her old team, leading the Knights for over six seasons.

Gwynedd plays at FDU-Florham on Tuesday with a 6:30 p.m. start.
