Griffins suffer loss in overtime

READING, PA. – Albright’s Kelly Zepp scored twice, including the game-winner in overtime to defeat Gwynedd-Mercy, 2-1, Monday evening.

Zepp scored 1:24 into the game before junior Victoria Geppert (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) tied the contest for the Griffins (3-3) later in the first half.

The Lions (5-2) outshot GM, 26-15, and had 15 penalty corners to Gwynedd’s eight.

Freshman keeper Aubrey McDevitt (Narberth, Pa./Upper Merion) made 14 saves for the Griffins.

Gwynedd hosts Eastern in a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference game here on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
