Griffins playoff picture window shrinks slightly

GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. - The Griffin's playoff push was slightly derailed as Wesley handed the Griffins a 3-1 Pennsylvania Athletic Conference defeat here Saturday afternoon.

Wesley's Rachael Onorato recorded a goal and an assist as the Wolverines scored once in the first half then added two more in the second to lead 3-0.

The Griffins (7-6, 4-4 PAC) tried to rally late as a goal from senior Erin Hill (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) in the 64th minute cut the deficit to 3-1.

The Wolverines (10-7, 8-3 PAC) outshot GM, 9-7, and held a 10-2 penalty corner advantage.

Gwynedd-Mercy, on the bubble of making the six-team PAC playoffs, will host Cabrini here on Monday at 4 p.m.
