Griffins get first win of the season

GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. - Senior Erin Hill (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) netted three goals while Janine Reiner (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) scored twice and set up another as Gwynedd-Mercy overwhelmed Immaculata, 7-1, Saturday afternoon in a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference game.

Sophomore Victoria Geppert (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) added a goal and an assist and Nicole Dowling (Jamison, Pa./Central Bucks South) also tallied for the Griffins, as GM won its first game of the year.

Junior Lauren Monte (Perkasie, Pa./Christopher Dock) and senior Kaitlin Pope (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) combined to make three saves in net in the victory.

Kati DiNatale scored the lone goal for Immaculata (0-2, 0-1 PAC).

Gwynedd-Mercy (1-1, 1-0 PAC) returns to action this Tuesday, September 12th with a home game against Albright in a non-conference matchup slated for 4 p.m.
