Head Coach Sarah W. Greer |
Sarah Greer arrived at Gwynedd-Mercy in 2003 with
the responsibility of revitalizing the field hockey program. After
playing collegiate field hockey at Division II Kutztown University
and captaining the team her senior season, Wesner became an assistant
coach for KU before leaving to become an assistant coach at Earlham
College in Indiana during the 2002-03 season.
A dynamic young coach, Greer returned to Pennsylvania
as a head coach and has been working for the past three seasons
to rebuild the Griffins into a consistent winning program. Her team
approach to the game has drawn praise from players and coaches in
each of her stops while her dedication and commitment to the sport
is a constant.
As her fourth season begins, Greer plans to continue
to mold the squad into a league powerhouse by balancing the 18 returning
veterans and the talent of the seven new freshmen.
Greer is also the Intramural Director here at Gwynedd-Mercy
and resides in Philadelphia with her husband, Sam.
