Griffins get second shutout of the season

GLENSIDE, PA. - Junior Lauren Monte (Perkasie, Pa./Christopher Dock) made four saves and senior Janine Reiner (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) had a goal and an assist to lead Gwynedd-Mercy to a 4-0 shutout at Arcadia Tuesday afternoon in a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference game.

Sophomores Nicole Dowling (Jamison, Pa./C.B. East) and Erin Reedy (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) along with junior Kate Loftus (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Huberts) also scored for the Griffins (5-4, 3-3 PAC).

Maggie LoCasle maded 12 saves for the Knights (2-8, 2-4 PAC).

Gwynedd-Mercy hosts Hood College this Saturday in non-league action starting at 1 p.m.
