Donovan, Burks named to All-PAC
Teams
Griffins get a one first-team and one second-team
selection
ASTON, PA. - Seniors Katie Donovan (Conshohocken,
Pa./Kennedy-Kenrick) and Melissa Burks (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton)
were named to the 2006 PAC All-Conference Field Hockey Teams.
Donovan earned a first-team selection as back after
shoring up the Griffin defense and leading the squad with six defensive
saves. She was an honorable mention selection a year ago.
Donovan was also named to the All-PAC Sportsmanship
Team.
Burks, a first-team pick last year, led the team
with eight assists and added three goals while playing in all 18
games.
The Griffins finished 7-11 and 4-7 in league play
in 2006 under fourth-year head coach Sarah W. Greer.
