GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. - Gwynedd-Mercy fell, 2-1, to
Moravian in a rainy non-league game Monday afternoon. The Greyhounds
(4-6) scored the go-ahead goal with 7:55 remaining.
Freshman Erin Reedy (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg)
registered the Griffin's only goal early in the second half. It
was the only offense for Gwynedd as GMC mustered three shots, all
in the second stanza.
Moravian had a chance to ice the game late with
a penalty stroke, but the shot was wide.
Griffin goalie Lauren Monte (Perkasie, Pa./Christopher
Dock) recorded eight saves on nine shots. MC keeper Amanda Gaun
made two stops.
Gwynedd-Mercy (5-6) plays at Misericordia in a PAC
contest this Wednesday, September 28h at 7 p.m.
