GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. - Juniors Janine Reiner (Collegeville,
Pa./Spring Ford) scored three goals and Melissa Burks (Harleysville,
Pa./Souderton) added a goal and two assists as Gwynedd-Mercy cruised
to a 6-0 win over Cedar Crest in a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference
matchup Wednesday afternoon.
Sophomore Ashley Blackwell (Mohrsville, Pa./Schuylkill
Valley) added a goal and an assist to help the Griffins (6-9, 5-4
PAC) break a four-game losing streak.
It was the third multi-goal game for Reiner and
her first hat trick on the season.
Kirsten Gustafson made nine saves for the Falcons
(3-13, 3-8 PAC) who were outshot, 14-1.
Gwynedd-Mercy is back at it tomorrow, October 20th
with a non-league contest against Haverford starting at 4 p.m.
