Griffins slip to 5-5 in PAC play

GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. - Arcadia defeated Gwynedd-Mercy,
5-2, Monday afternoon in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action
behind two first-half goals from the Knight's Beth Harris.
Harris scored 10 minutes into the contest with an
assist from Christy Miller for the game's first goal. She would
strike again with seven minutes before halftime to restore a 3-2
AU lead. Miller helped to set up Arcadia's fourth goal in the 54th
minute add an unassisted tally with just over a minute in the contest.
Juniors Melissa Burks (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton)
and Erin Hill (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) scored for
the Griffins (7-10, 5-5 PAC), who had their two-game win streak
snapped.
Goalie Kaitlin Pope (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop
Wood) notched 10 saves while AU stopper Maggie LoCasale recorded
six.
Gwynedd-Mercy plays at Cabrini in the regular-season
finale this Thursday, October 22nd at 3:30 p.m.
