Burks, three more honored by conference
Junior nets first-team selection
ASTON, PA. - Gwynedd-Mercy had three members selected
for the 2005 Pennsylvania Athletic Conference All-League Teams released
today.
Melissa Burks (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton)
was named a first-team selection after she led the team and the
PAC with 10 assists. The junior added three goals for a total of
16 points.
Fellow junior Janine Reiner (Collegeville,
Pa./Spring-Ford) was selected for the second-team after the forward
led the Griffins with 11 goals.
Junior back Katie Donovan (Conshohocken,
Pa./Kennedy-Kenrick) earned a spot on the honorable mention list.
Junior goalie Kaitlin Pope (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop
Wood) was chosen for the PAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
