NEWARK, DE. -- Sophomore Alycia Tranchitella (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Huberts) finished second overall in the Division II/III women’s race and sophomore Dan Geary (Hatfield, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) was fifth overall in the men’s race to highlight Gwynedd-Mercy at the University of Delaware Invitational. Tranchitella was second out of 41 competitors to help the squad to a fourth place finish. Sophomore R.J. Every (Harleysville, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) was 10th in the men’s race as the team came in third. The teams will go at it again next Saturday at the Philadelphia Metro Championship at the Belmont Plateau. |
