Gwynedd runs at DeSales Invitational
Griffins race with Division III and II schools

CENTER VALLEY, PA. – Gwynedd-Mercy competed at the DeSales University Invitational on Saturday.

Sophomore Alycia Tranchitella (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Huberts) was 10th out of over 200 runners in the women's race, helping the team to finish 12th out of 23 schools. Senior Lisa Smedley (Warrington, Pa./C.B. East) was 23rd.

On the men's side, sophomore Dan Geary (Hatfield, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) was the top Griffin finisher, coming in 41st place. The race featured 184 runners. R.J. Every (Harleysville, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) was 45th helping the team to a 11th place overall finish out of 20 teams.

The teams are off next weekend as they prepare for the 2007 PAC Championships at the Belmont Plateau on October 27th.
