TOWSON, MD. - Senior Kevin Bunt (Souderton, Pa./Souderton) and freshman Alycia Tranchitella (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Huberts) were the top GMC finishers in their respective races at the Towson Invitational on Saturday.

Bunt finished 32nd of over 100 runners. Freshman Daniel Geary (Hatfield, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) was right behind in 34th, while Ronald Every (Harleysville, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) was 47th. As a team, the men were 7th out of 11 teams.

Tranchitella placed 30th and teammate Lisa Smedley (Warrington, Pa./C.B. East) was 40th as the women's team finished 9th out of 11 scoring teams.

Women’s Team Scores: 1. Towson 36; 2. Salisbury 45; 3. Millersville 115; T-4. Morgan State 144; T-4. George Mason 144; 6. University of Maryland Eastern Shore 154; 7. Howard 162; 8. Delaware State 203; 9. Gwyendd Mercy 228; 10. Villa Julie 232; 11. Coppin State 310.

Men’s Team Scores: 1. Salisbury 28; 2. Navy 42; 3. Millersville 96; 4. University of Maryland Eastern Shore 121; 5. Coppin State 159; 6. Delaware State 162; 7. Gwynedd Mercy 193; 9. Morgan State 197; 10. Marymount 259; 11. Villa Julie 263.

Gwynedd resumes action next Saturday up at the Mule/Falcon Cross Country Classic in Allentown, Pa.
