After having the two most successful seasons in
school history in both mens and womens cross country,
the 2006 Griffins look to scale to greater heights.
For the womens squad, the team returns key
runners from last year including senior captain Jennifer Michalski,
two-time All-Conference selection junior Katie Nace, junior Christina
Phillips and sophomore Christine Harrison. The
four, along with newcomers Alycia Tranchitella, Elizabeth Bradford
and Erin Smith strive to improve upon their team record of three
invitational wins at Alvernia, Gwynedd-Mercy, and Cabrini and improve
their third-place finish in the 2005 PAC Championships.
Senior captain Kevin Bunt, a two-time First Team
All-Conference selection, will lead a very young mens team
that look to improve upon the programs all-time best second
place finish at the PAC Championships. Bunt took home three individual
titles a year ago, placing third at the conference championship.
Bunt along with seniors Angel Burgos, Josh Thomas,
and Brian Dougherty, welcome newcomers R.J. Every, Nick Gannon,
Dan Geary, Chris McNichols, Jason Robustelli, Jason Smith and Rickie
Watson.
The Griffins have the greatest depth they have ever
had entering a season and have great hope to improve upon last years
two Invitational wins and second place finish in PAC Championships.
