2005 Outlook

After having the most successful season in school history in both men’s and women’s cross country, the 2005 Griffins look to scale to greater heights.
For the women’s squad, the team returns all of the key runners from last year including All-Conference selections in senior Colleen Farrell, and sophomores Katie Mehaffey and Katie Nace.

The three, along with junior Jennifer Michalski and sophomores Christina Phillips and Vanessa Gillespie, and newcomers Christine Harrison and Laura McKeever, strive to repeat their team invitational wins at Alvernia and Cabrini and improve their second-place finish in the 2004 PAC Championships.

Junior Kevin Bunt and sophomore Kurt Bruehl, two All-Conference selections last season, return to the men’s team. Bunt took home two individual titles a year ago, placing fourth at the conference championship while Bruehl was eighth.

With Tom DePrince, Ryan McMahon, Josh Thomas, Brian Dougherty, and Angel Burgos, the Griffins look to build on their 2004 second-place invitational finishes at Gwynedd-Mercy and Cabrini, and their third place finish in the 2004 PAC Championships.
