Gwynedd-Mercy to play Ithaca at NYU in NCAA First Round
Griffins head to Big Apple

GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. - Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Champion Gwynedd-Mercy (25-2) will take on the Empire 8 Conference Champion Ithaca College (16-11) in the first round of the 2007 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament this Friday on the campus of New York University.

Game time is 5 p.m.

NYU (23-2) is the host of the first and second-round games. The Violets, out of the University Athletic Association (UAA) takes on Centennial Champion Ursinus (19-9) in the other game Friday night. The winners will meet Saturday evening.

This is the seventh NCAA Tournament appearance for the Griffins
