GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. - Gwynedd-Mercy head coach Keith Mondillo won his fourth Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Coach of the Year and three Griffins were named all-league to highlight the year-end PAC All-Conference selections. Junior Karen Tierney (Philadelphia, Pa./Kennedy-Kenrick) was named a first-team selection after leading the team in scoring and assists. Tierney's assist average ranks her in the top five in all of Division III. Senior Ashley Vandiver (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) garnered a spot on the second-team as she averaged 11 points and five rebounds per game. She also led the PAC in free-throw percentage (84%), ranking her in the top 30 in the country. Rounding out the selections, senior Jackie Dougherty (Roslyn, Pa./Abington) earned an honorable mention nod as she was in the top four in points, rebounds, assists, and steals on the squad. Senior Michelle Sgrillo (Philadelphia, Pa./Cardinal Dougherty) was named to the PAC All-Sportsmanship Team. The Griffins completed their second-straight undefeated league mark (16-0) while capturing the league title again, their fifth overall.
