Griffins hit for season-high in points, field goals, and
assists

GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA - Gwynedd-Mercy cruised to its
fifth-straight win with a 95-37 Pennsylvania Athletic Conference
victory over Cedar Crest Wednesday night at the Griffin Complex.
Sophomore Karen Tierney (Philadelphia, Pa./Kennedy-Kenrick)
recorded her first collegiate double-double, finishing with 12 points
and a career-high 15 assists. Freshman Kristy Cramp (Pennington,
N.J./Hopewell Valley) connected on six thee-pointers and registered
a game-high 20 points for the Griffins (16-3, 10-0 PAC).
The Falcons' (2-14, 1-11 PAC) Ashley Bechtel notched
seven points and seven boards while Danielle Frustillo added eight
points.
Gwynedd hit 52% (39-of-74) from the floor and added
12 treys. Senior Jillian Chiarantona (Abington, Pa./Gwynedd-Mercy
Academy) hit two of the 12 longballs and was the only other Griffin
in double figures with 14 points. Junior Jackie Dougherty (Roslyn,
Pa./Abington) kicked in seven of GM's 32 assists on the night.
Cedar Crest was just 14-of-53 (26%) shooting for
the game and was outrebounded 46-30.
The Griffins travel to Misericordia this Saturday
for a PAC matchup starting at 2 p.m.
