GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy got 17 points,
a career-high nine assists, and seven rebounds from Jackie Dougherty
(Roslyn, Pa./Abington) as the Griffins cruised to an 81-59 win
over visiting Arcadia, Monday evening.
The junior hit 6-of-12 from the floor and was one
of four Griffins in double figures. Senior Jillian Chiarantona
(Abington, Pa./Gwynedd-Mercy Academy) added 15 points and a
career-best six assists.
Gwynedd (15-3, 9-0 PAC) opened up a five-point lead
midway in the first half to lead 41-28 at the break.
Dougherty's bucket capped a 19-0 run to start the
second stanza and help give GM its biggest lead of the game at 60-28.
Katie Lynch notched a double-double for the Knights
(9-10, 4-6 PAC) with game-highs of 20 points and 16 boards. Teammate
Becky Soda added 15 points and eight caroms.
Junior Ashley Vandiver (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop
Ryan) chipped in 14 points and six boards while freshman Kristy
Cramp (Pennington, N.J./Hopewell Valley) netted 12 as the Griffins
hit a season best 33 field goals on 42% shooting and committed a
season-low eight turnovers.

Before the game, GMC Head Coach Keith Mondillo was
honored for notching his 200th career coaching win, which he earned
on December 3rd.
The Griffins host Cedar Crest in PAC action this
Wednesday with a 7 p.m. tipoff.
