» Athletics › Women's Basketball March 15, 2006 GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -Senior Jillian Chiarantona (Abington, Pa./Gwynedd-Mercy Academy) and junior Jackie Dougherty (Roslyn, Pa./Abington) were named to the D3hoops.com Women's Basketball All Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team. Chiarantona averaged a team-leading 12.2 points and added five rebounds per game. A second-team All-PAC selection, she was second on the team in three-pointers made (67) and chipped in 60 assists. Dougherty, who garnered her second-straight first-team All-PAC honor, registered just over 11 points and four rebounds a game and led the squad in steals (55). Her 93 assists and 10 blocks were second-best for GM. The duo helped the Griffins to a 25-4 record and its fourth Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Championship.
