November 19, 2004 Moravian 65, Gwynedd-Mercy 49 WASHINGTON - Moravian had three players in double figures as Gwynedd-Mercy fell 65-49 to the Greyhounds in the season-opening Catholic University Tournament Friday evening. Lauren Healy (Glenmoore, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) led the Griffins with 13 points. The freshman added five rebounds, three assists and two steals. A 23-9 run by Moravian to close the first half put Gwynedd-Mercy in a 31-18 deficit at the break. The Griffins (0-1) could only get within 35-26 on a layup by senior Gina Morano (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) with 17 minutes to play but could not get any closer as Moravian (1-0) kept a double-digit lead the rest of the way. Morano finished with four points and a team-high five assists and Alexis Boyle (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown) chipped in eight points and four rebounds. Gwynedd-Mercy will take on Catholic, who fell to
McDaniel in the second game Friday night, in the consolation game
