WESTMINSTER, MD. -- No. 24 McDaniel rallied from a one-point halftime deficit to defeat Gwynedd-Mercy, 61-46, in non-league action Saturday afternoon.

The Griffins, which led 26-25 at the break, shot just 25% (7-of-28) in the second half and 31% (19-of-60) for the contest.

Senior Candice Ober (Swarthmore, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) led Gwynedd-Mercy with nine points and 11 rebounds. The forward also added three assists and blocked a shot.

The Green Terror (6-2) used a 9-1 run to open the second stanza to pull ahead. But the Griffins pressed to get within two at 44-42 on Jackie Dougherty's (Rosyln, Pa./Abington) layup with just over four minutes in regulation. The sophomore finished with eight points.

McDaniel used another run, this time scoring 10 consecutive points over the next two minutes of play, to put the game out of reach.

Sara Franz was one of three Green Terror players in double figures, totaling a game-high 12 points.

The Griffins will host Albright in a non-conference game Saturday, December 18th at 2 p.m. here at the Griffin Complex..
