Gwynedd-Mercy 77, Marywood 53

GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -Three players reached double figures as Gwynedd-Mercy ran past Marywood, 77-53, in a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference game Saturday afternoon.

Senior Candice Ober (Swarthmore, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) led the way with 22 points on 8-of-11 from the floor. Senior Alexis Boyle (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown) and freshman Lauren Healy (Glenmoore, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) each added 10 respectively as the Griffins improve to 2-0 in conference play.

Ober scored 18 of her points in the first half to help Gwynedd-Mercy to a 38-23 lead at the break. From there, the Griffins (2-3) kept a 20-point cushion for most of the second half.

Stephanie Dolinak netted 16 points and seven boards, both team-highs, for the Pacers (1-3, 0-2 PAC), who were outreboudned 49-34.

Boyle also grabbed five rebounds, dished out four assists, and blocked two shots.

The team will play at King's College on Wednesday, December 8th at 7 p.m.
