Gwynedd-Mercy 81, Arcadia 55
GLENSIDE, PA. - Four players finished in double
figures as Gwynedd-Mercy registered a season-high in scoring in
an 81-55 win over Arcadia in a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference
game Monday night.

in 12 points and a game-high six assists.

Juniors Jillian Chiarantona (Abington, Pa./Gwynedd-Mercy
Academy) led the Griffins with 15 points while Rebecca Frederick
(North Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May) added 14 points.
Sophomore Jackie Dougherty (Roslyn, Pa./Abington)
and freshman Lauren Healy (Glenmoore, Pa./Owen J. Roberts)
added 12 points apiece as Gwynedd-Mercy (5-9, 4-1 PAC) raced out
to a 24-7 lead and took a 37-19 edge at the break.
GMC would keep a near 20-point cushion in the second
half.
Ashley Vandiver led the Arcadia (5-9, 1-5 PAC) with
23 points and 10 rebounds as the Knights shot 40% (21-of-52) but
were forced into 28 turnovers.
Chiarantona, who hit for five of the team's seven
treys, grabbed a team-high eight boards and dished out three assists

The Griffins were 34-of-74 (45%) shooting and held
a 43-35 rebound edge over the Knights.
The team will play at Immaculata on Wednesday, January
26th in a make up PAC game starting at 7 p.m.
