Griffins drop fourth straight

GYWNEDD VALLEY, PA. - Gwynedd-Mercy lost its fourth in a row, falling to Richard Stockton in non-league action, 68-57, Wednesday afternoon at the Griffin Complex.

Senior Corey Rich (Norristown, Pa./Kennedy-Kenrick) netted 19 and sophomore Haven Wroten (Philadelphia, Pa./Prep Charter) added 10 but the Griffins (4-6) couldn't hold a halftime lead.

Mario Lancioni scored 17 of his game-high 25 points in the second half for the Ospreys (7-5).

Rich hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to give Gwynedd a 34-31 lead at the break, but Richard Stockton scored the first eight points of the second half and never looked back.

Jon Greene added 15 points and a game-high 10 rebounds for the Ospreys, who hit 46.2% (24-of-52) from the floor. GM connected on 42.6% (23-of-54) shooting.

The Griffins return to action on Monday, January 8th against Delaware Valley at 7 p.m.
