DelBrocco, Lauer named to All-Tournament Team

BOSTON, MA. - New Jersey City University won the 2006 Emmanuel College Tip-Off Tournament with a 91-76 win over Gwynedd-Mercy in the championship game Sunday afternoon.

Four NJCU players finished in double figures with the Knight's Dana John netting a game-high 27 points.

Junior Kevin Lauer (Philadelphia, Pa./St. John Neumann) led the Griffins (1-1) with 18 points and six rebounds. Senior Chris DelBrocco (Philadelphia, Pa./St. John Neumann) scored 17 points and dished out five assists.

An 18-5 run by NJCU (2-0) late in the first half broke open a 31-30 GM lead. From there, the Gothic Knights kept a double-digit lead for most the second half.

Gwynedd-Mercy is back at it on Tuesday, November 30th with their first Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Game, in a rematch of last season's first-round PAC Tournament game as the Griffins travel to play the Eagles of Eastern University at 7 p.m.
