GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. - Gwynedd-Mercy lost their third-straight game, falling 90-75, to Neumann in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action Thursday evening.

Mike Hitchens came off the bench to score 18 of his game-high 26 points in the second half to lead the Knights (12-10, 9-6 PAC) who moved into a three-way tie with Gwynedd and Immaculata for third place in the league standings.

Sophomore Haven Wroten (Philadelphia/Prep Charter) netted 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Griffins who slipped to 11-11 and 9-6 in league play. Senior Chris DelBrocco (Philadelphia/St. John Neumann) added 15 points and six assists while freshman Lemeire Talley (Blackwood, N.J./Highland) chipped in 13 off the bench.

Neumann seized the lead in the first stanza, thanks to nine first-half treys. Ronnie Fields hit four of them as the Knights built a 47-38 halftime lead. Fields finished with 14 points as the Knights hit 11 three-pointers on the night.

The Griffins found themselves down by as much as 19 as Hitchens gave Neumann a 64-45 lead with 11:08 remaining.

An 11-2 run later in the half rallied Gwynedd to just an 80-72 deficit with 3:48 to play but back-to-back-to-back buckets from Hitchens and Fields restored a double-digit lead.

Gwynedd-Mercy will play at Arcadia this Saturday in PAC action starting at 3 p.m.
