The Gwynedd-Mercy College Men's Basketball program built on their 2000-2001 season and made a drastic improvement as freshman center Badou Gaye led the way for the Griffins who finished 14-12 overall and 9-7 in the PAC to finish in fifth place overall before losing in the playoffs to the eventual league champion Cabrini Cavaliers in the first round of the playoffs.
