Griffins prepare for NCAA Tournament; late-inning
rally downs Monarchs

WILKES-BARRE, PA - Sophomore Tim McMenamin (Maple
Shade, N.J./Maple Shade) went 3-for-4 with a double and a solo homerun
to help Gwynedd-Mercy to an 8-4 non-league win over King's Monday
afternoon in a final tune-up before the NCAA Regional starts later
in the week.
Down 3-1 in the sixth, the Griffins (31-10) got
the offense going, plating four in the seventh and adding three
in the eighth
After McMenamin hit his fifth homer of the year
in the second, the Monarchs crossed a run in the bottom of the frame
and again in the third. An RBI double in the sixth gave King's (28-12)
a 3-1 edge.
Gwynedd will take on Frostburg State in the first
game of the Boyertown Regional of the 2007 Division III Baseball
Tournament this Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
