Senior Troy Peiffer (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI singles for GM. Junior Anthony Capella (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) added two hits and two runs scored.

Tournament MVP Zach Lutz went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in the fifth and the win on the mound, allowing three runs on eight hits, striking out 10 in eight innings of work.

Scoreless through three innings, the Griffins got on the board in the fourth as senior Ryan McMahon (Upper Darby, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) singled home freshman Ken Bengtson (Jamison, Pa./C.B. East) for a 1-0 lead.

But the Crusaders answered in the bottom of the inning, as Chris Raniere knocked in two runs and Erick Tavarez added an RBI triple for a five run frame to go up 5-1.
