Peiffer, Daley honored in weekly awards
Duo pick up awards for baseball
GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. - Senior Troy Peiffer
(Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) and junior Matt Daley (Philadelphia,
Pa./Roman Catholic) were named to the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference
Baseball Honor Roll for the week ending April 9th.
Peiffer batted .385 (5-of-13) with four RBIs, three
doubles, three walks, two runs scored, and a stolen base in a 4-1
and 3-0 PAC week. He went 3-for-4 with two RBI's in the second game
to help the Griffins sweep a weekend doubleheader from league for
Neumann on Sunday. On the season Peiffer is batting .367 with a
team-leading 11 doubles and 16 walks.
Daley threw 7.1 innings of scoreless ball, striking
out six and walking six in a 5-1 PAC win over Neumann on Friday.
He is now 4-1 on the year in six starts with a team-low 1.50 ERA
and .189 opponent batting average.
