Daley, McMahon, and Peoples garner weekly league
awards
Daley, McMahon honored in baseball, Peoples for softball
GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. - Junior Matt Daley (Philadelphia,
Pa./Roman Catholic), senior Ryan McMahon (Upper Darby, Pa./Monsignor
Bonner) and freshman Christina Peoples (Philadelphia, Pa./Frankford
Charter) were honored by the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference in
the league's weekly awards.
Daley earned his second-straight PAC Baseball Pitcher
of the Week after he threw the school's first no-hitter in its nine-year
history of the program. Daley struck out five and allowed just three
baserunners in a 14-0 win over Eastern on Saturday in the first
game of a doubleheader.
McMahon was named to the PAC Honor Roll for baseball
hitters after he batted .429 (6-for-14) with four runs, four RBIs,
two doubles, six walks, and a stolen base.
Peoples was an honorable mention for softball as
she posted a 1-1 record with a 1.17 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 12
innings of work.
