Daley, Mattes, Balicki honored by league in weekly
awards
Daley, Mattes sweep baseball awards, Balicki honored in
tennis
GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. - Junior Matt Daley (Philadelphia,
Pa./Roman Catholic) and sophomores Mark Mattes (Doylestown,
Pa./C.B. East) and Chris Balicki (Millville, N.J./Millville)
were honored by the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference in the league's
weekly awards.
Daley earned the PAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week
after pitching a complete-game win against Haverford on Saturday,
allowing just six hits and one earned run, while striking out seven.
Mattes was named the PAC Baseball Hitter of the
Week after batting .444 with 11 runs scored, two doubles, four RBI
and a stolen base as the Griffins went unbeaten in five contests.
Balicki garnered a spot on the PAC Men's Tennis
Honorable Mention List after going 2-0 in singles and 2-0 doubles
last week to help his team remain undefeated on the season.
