Cramp, Lauer selected to weekly honorable mention
list
Both instrumental in big wins last week
GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. - Freshman Kristy Cramp (Pennington,
N.J./Hopewell Valley) and sophomore Kevin Lauer (Philadelphia,
Pa./St John Neumann) were selected to the Pennsylvania Athletic
Conference Basketball Honorable Mention List for the week ending
February 12th.
Cramp averaged 14.6 points and 3.0 assists in a
3-0 PAC week helping her team extend its win streak to nine games.
In three games, she went 15-of-26 (57%) from the floor including
an 8-of-18 (44%) from behind the arc. In Monday's win over Rosemont,
she tallied a team-high 16 points including four treys and added
four assists. On Wednesday at Alvernia, she hit for 14 points and
closed the week against Cabrini on Saturday with 14 points.
Lauer averaged 17.3 ppg, 12 rpg, 2.3 apg, while
notching two double-doubles last week to help the Griffins to a
2-1 PAC week (W at Eastern, L at Alvernia, W vs Cabrini) and clinch
a playoff berth. In Monday's game at Eastern, he scored 15 points
and grabbed a game-high 16 boards with six assists in a 91-85 win.
On Wednesday, he recorded 12 points and six rebounds in a loss at
Alvernia. And on Saturday, was a monumental force in helping the
squad rally from a 22-point, second-half deficit to defeat Cabrini
and nail down a playoff spot. Tabbed 16 of his team-high 25 points
in the second half and overtime in which he played with four fouls.
Also snared 14 rebounds for his fourth double-double on the season
in an 85-83 win over the Cavs.
