Bunt, Longbottom named league players of the week

GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. - Juniors Kevin Bunt
(Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) and Chrissy Longbottom (Media,
Pa./Penncrest) were named Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Players
of the Week in their respective sports for the week ending October
9th. Junior Sean Carey (Wyncote, Pa./Archbishop Carroll)
and freshman MacKenzie Armstrong (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown)
were honored as well.
Bunt won the PAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the
Week award after winning the Gwynedd-Mercy Invitational for the
second year in a row this past Saturday in a time of 29 minutes,
16 seconds His performance helped the Griffins capture the team
title in the meet.
Longbottom was named the PAC Volleyball Player of
the Week after she hit .373 on the week with 54 kills to lead the
Griffins to four wins in four games. The junior added eight digs
and seven aces.
Carey, selected to the PAC Men's Soccer Honor Roll,
registered two assists in a 1-1-1 week. Armstrong made the PAC Women's
Soccer Honor Roll after she tallied two goals and assisted on another
in a 1-0 week.
