Griffin runners earn national academic honors

NEW ORLEANS, LA. -- The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced their annual academic award recipients for the fall 2009 season. The Gwynedd-Mercy College men’s cross country team and two women harriers were among the student-athletes honored by the association.

GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Senior Alycia Tranchitella was honored locally as she was named the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Women’s Cross Country Performer of the Year as voted on by the region's sports information directors.
