Assistant Coaches

Gus DiStefano
With over 15 years of coaching experience, Gus DiStefano has been with the program since its inception in 1999. A 1987 graduate of Roman Catholic High School, DiStefano earned his degree from Philadelphia Textile University (now Philadelphia University) in 1992. DiStefano was an assistant coach for the Ivy Ridge Panthers American Legion team in 1997, 1998 and 2000 and head coach during the 1999 season. He was named Most Valuable Coach on the Griffin staff by Coach Murphy in 2000 PAC Championship season.

Coach DiStefano works in the Admissions Office at Gwynedd-Mercy College for the last five years as the Associate Director of Admissions.

Dan Buckley
A 2005 graduate of King's College where he played baseball all four years, Buckley captained the team his senior year leading them to most wins in program history (27). He finished his senior season with a .326 batting average while leading the team in putouts and fielding percentage A first baseman, he was second on the team in steals with nine and among the team leaders with 25 runs scored his senior year. He will primarily work with first basemen and the infield defense. Buckley is also a member of the Philadelphia Phillies grounds crew at Citizen's Bank Park. Coach Buckley resides in Andorra and is working towards his Master's Degree in Guidance Counseling here at Gwynedd-Mercy.

Pete Hoffman
Coach Hoffman begins his second season with his primary repsonsiblitly being the infield defense.

Hoffman has been the head coach for Falls American Legion team since 2006, where he was an assistant for four years prior to taking over. He was also an assistant at Pennsbury High School from 2003 to 2005.
He is a 1988 Graduate of Holy Ghost Prep in Bensalem, Pa. and a 1992 Graduate of St. Joseph's University where he played baseball for one season.
